Basic Information[]

Allincro would be born in the year 17 BNAC, in the capital of the once existent Grand Velcovia. Serving as the leader of a semi-autonomous New Grand Velcovia, he is characterized as charismatic and optimistic by the general public. Behind the scenes however, he is a helpless perfectionist and often quick to anger, leading to other politicians of New Grand Velcovia holding concern and believing in his potential replacement. Due to him being a direct descendant of Velcovia’s first Grand Chief, his selection as leader by the last leader of Grand Velcovia and his public image, it is with difficulty that others attempt to run against him.

History[]

Early Life[]

Allincro’s early life would be one of unrealistic expectations, leading to stressful upbringings. Many thought he would become the next great ruler of Grand Velcovia, surpassing the peaceful success under Caljorn. As he struggled to meet the standards set for him, he would come to see himself as incapable of ruling. Despite the words of disapproval, Caljorn claimed to sense potential. Some major politicians grew envious of Allincro, as Caljorn gave him access to the best education of Velcovia while speaking confidently about Allincro’s future as his successor. Most criticism levied against Caljorn’s decision would be stifled when Allincro began to show promising progress. With Caljorn’s increasing confidence in Allincro’s abilities, he would place the young heir into increasingly difficult situations with Allincro meeting his standards by increasingly extreme means. Despite this, Allincro would display a witty, charismatic and optimistic image in public, being the only side of him Caljorn knew about. Throughout the rest of his childhood, he made himself lonely and miserable in his attempts to live up to his image.

Simultaneously, tensions in Coriusian would rise between its powers as war seemed to loom in an uncertain future. As did many Velcovians, Allincro would believe in it being an obligation for Grand Velcovia to assist their allies in any war. Grand Velcovia would promise to help in repairs, supplies, intel as well as military aid in such a case. The outcome of the last war had been a victory and Velcovians believed any next war would see them rout their foes the same as in 16 BNAC. As patriotism sprung across the nation and it became word on the street, neither Allincro nor the average citizen knew how drastically a new conflict would truly affect them and their tiny galaxy.

Before the war, Allincro would continue to hold a promising future as Grand Velcovia’s upcoming leader, as he began exceeding the standards put on him and earned the reputation of a truly enlightened individual. In his pursuit to create this image, Allincro would go on to learn four languages, Velcovite, Aoshanti, Plenayati and Calitanan alongside studying a few years worth of law and mastery in Coriusian history and culture from the University of Velcovia. Despite this, he would never excel in physical strength and knew little of warfare, something which he would be criticized for. It would remain a chip on his shoulder, culminating in himself joining the navy in 10 NAC. To other Velcovians, Allincro joining the navy seemed to be for the purpose of glory and to debunk rumors which claimed he wouldn’t be fit for war, thus unworthy of becoming Grand Chief. Instead however, he saw it as an escape from the reality and expectations he had been subjected to by himself and others.

Later Life[]

As time passed, Allincro would remain in the military even as it wouldn’t be the escape that he had long searched for. Becoming a captain in 12 NAC, he rose to said position for mixed reasons. Officially because of his noticeable efforts against spaceborne raiders who harried parts of the nation’s outpost systems, though some accused Caljorn of granting Allincro an unmerited post. These accusations would be troublesome, as Allincro tried to prove his worth. Despite the stress, one good thing would arise for him. He would meet and befriend a barely influential, but decently respected captain named Faliex. The two would get along well, with Faliex aiding in Allincro's legitimacy and participating in crackdowns on piracy. By next year, they would go from fighting pirates to the self-proclaimed Third Imperium of Coriusian, unaware of the significance.

The Invasion of Grand Velcovia[]

The Beginning of the Invasion[]

Though expected, it still shocked Allincro to hear of the first outbreak of a new war in Coriusian. He would follow the rest of the Velcovian fleet in their fight alongside their allies. Performing hit and run tactics on Ghuv’al’s forces, Allincro was hastily promoted to the rank of Admiral in the fighting, as Ghuv’al’s ships had destroyed the vessel of the Velcovian Admiral Iretiges and many of his subordinates. This position was temporary however, as Caljorn took the reins soon afterward. As fighting raged on, Allincro would do so alongside both Caljorn and Faliex, with some success.

Despite earlier losses, war morale was still strong and hopes remained that the Ghuv’al’s Third Imperium would be crushed. Velcovian ships did their part by raiding supply lines of their foes with their swift light ships, able to evade Ghuv’al’s heavy warships. Allincro would hold concern however, for the Corlinian line was gradually being pushed back despite Ghuv’al’s forces being bogged by Velcovian raids on his supplies. As the Third Imperium continued deeper into Corlinian territory, a thought grew in Allincro’s mind. What would he do if the nation lost? He was certain that defeat would mean his people’s subjugation by the Third Imperium, as Ghuv’al had ambitions of a Pan-Coriusian state. Like many other Velcovians however, he did not want to live in the Third Imperium, but then came the question of where would he go. As he continued to fight on, this question remained until the nation’s capitulation.

The Capitulation of Grand Velcovia[]

Once the Federation of Grenas fell, it was clear to every Velcovian that the fall of their country was inevitable. Caljorn would continue the fighting alongside remnants of Grenas’ navy still in the fight. The Velcovian forces were outmatched however, their lighter ships incapable of being any more than an annoying buzz. Allincro would serve his part in slowing Ghuv’al’s advance, but it was a futile effort. With surrender on the horizon, Allincro would talk with Caljorn for advice. His question was met by a request to flee Coriusian and continue the war as a government in exile, though it wouldn’t succeed as intended.

The Departure[]

As Allincro was given the role of Grand Chief for this new government in exile, it dawned upon him that he knew not where to go. The gate to Selten was available, but his knowledge of the place was minimal, with many of his followers also being wary of said galaxy. But the gate to Aoshtai would mean having to slip past Ghuv’al’s forces. He was stuck, for he wished to fulfill Caljorn’s request. As he contemplated, Ghuv’al would hear of the plot, but gave a response which stunned Allincro,

"You, Allincro, my spies tell of your plans, but I offer clemency. You may leave, feel free to do so alongside any amount of people. However, if you so attempt to attack my fleet or threaten the Third Imperium of Coriusian either during this departure or after it, I will not be so benevolent. I can promise bloody examples will be made in the case this agreement is betrayed, regardless of your protectors or refuge. So leave if you wish, but remember this deal."
- Ghuv’al Kanth

Though initially skeptical, Allincro would agree to Ghuv’al’s terms and was granted safe passage through Ghuv’al’s territory. With him, he’d be followed by half a million Velcovians as well as much of Grand Velcovia’s treasury. This would both disappoint Ghuv’al and Caljorn, as Ghuv’al saw the loss of much of Velcovia’s upper class as an economic inconvenience while Caljorn was distraught that his hopes of Grand Velcovia continuing its existence was forfeit. Allincro would assure Caljorn that a new Velcovia could possibly be made despite this, but Caljorn wouldn’t live to see it as he died in 19 NAC. Setting out for Aoshtai, it became Allincro’s goal to form the new Velcovia he spoke of.

Leaving for Aoshtai[]

It would take some months, but Allincro and his entourage made it to the Coriusian gate to Aoshtai. Supplies were checked to ensure they were sufficient for months of travel, soon they left Coriusian for Aoshtai. As he did, he wondered for a brief moment if it would’ve been better to stay, but would shake the feeling. Aoshtai was slightly different compared to what he expected, but he and most of his followers remained in high spirits. As they moved through the galaxy, the question of where to settle became a subject of debate.

Some said to simply immigrate into a country and become citizens of it, others wished more ambitiously and wanted to form a new, independent Velcovian country. In an attempt to reach a middle ground to prevent the group from splitting, Allincro would promise to create a Velcovian station and form a semi-autonomous district of Velcovians within a nation. People such as Desilak were disappointed, but begrudgingly accepted the idea. His promise was one he didn’t know he could keep however, having made it as a swift proposal. As he struggled to look for a nation to set up, he’d find one. The Marric Union, seeming to be far from Aoshtai’s main tensions and having a military that was sufficient for defense made it a solid destination in his eyes. Allincro calmed himself with the knowledge he knew where to go, all that was left was to fulfill his promise of a semi-autonomous state as best he could.

Meeting the Marric[]

As he reached the borders of the Marric, Allincro knew he had a promise to fulfill. At the end of talks, he made his people into the semi-autonomous state of New Grand Velcovia which would have its own government and laws, but were under the higher authority of the Marric. With major stations being obtained for use as his people’s home, he then moved to the topic of government. Allincro would implement a Democratic Meritocracy similar to Grand Velcovia’s, but he made some changes. The government was smaller due to its equally small population and it would be decided that politicians couldn’t rule for offices which they held no significant expertise in. The latter decision came to haunt him as some politicians argued that he himself had broken this rule in the past, as he had the position of captain and at one point, admiral with little military training.

Though this wouldn’t affect most of them as they had obtained their positions because of their experience, it was a belief amongst most politicians that the new law around how to obtain office was questionable. Allincro would privately confront many of them, only worsening their opinions on him with his aggressive attitude. In his eyes, he was trying his earnest to set the foundations of a new government, a society built on merit even more than its predecessor, but other politicians had already begun to question the new system he made as well as his rule.

Faliex would still remain close friends with Allincro, but even he felt slightly nervous around him. In talks, Allincro had shared much of his past to Faliex, with Faliex telling him it might be best if he were to step down from power, let another be put into office as Grand Chief and use the time to address his degrading mental stability. Allincro saw the notion as outrageous, he feared how others would rule, they could easily undo his work. Because of this, he would not resign, in fact, he would try his earnest to win the hearts of his people in the first election. Officially set in the year 22 NAC, Allincro would manage to emerge still as Grand Chief, but only by a margin. With the population rapidly rising, reaching five million in 23 NAC as more Velcovians went to live in New Grand Velcovia, Allincro has doubled down on efforts to increase his popularity for the next election.

Believing that his duty is to rule New Grand Velcovia, Allincro has protected his power with a fervor that often results in backlash from other politicians. His occasional dismissal of the New Velcovian Assembly’s advice on the topic of power sharing has led to distrust from some of the assembly’s members. Some fear he might try to become an autocrat of the people, seeing the assembly as little more than a rubber stamp. Despite this, disagreements on who should take his place have led his opposition to be divided amongst themselves, presenting a likely chance of re-election.

Character[]

Personality[]

He is well intentioned, but often aggressively set on his goals. Though he does begrudgingly accept the advice of others, he is usually plagued by doubt on how valid said advice is. To the general public, he displays himself as a hardworking, determined individual, wishing no less than to revive Velcovian culture and continue the legacy of Grand Velcovia. Due to fears of losing public support, he has kept his degrading mental state secretive at all costs, resulting in paranoia on his part, fearing what would happen if it became known. His perfectionism and unrealistic goals play a major factor in his actions, oftentimes being responsible for his stress and anger as he is unable to fulfill them.

Appearance[]

He is a 4.75 foot tall Vlandrnite, which is a bit short for the average Vlandrnite whom usually stands 5 feet tall. Allincro is also smaller than the average. He is also covered in a layer of chitin plates which protects most of his body. Like most of his species, he’s purplish with a slight tint of grey/white and his eye color is black.
